Submit an idea, qualify to win, make internal medicine residency better.
35 prizes of $1,000 to $10,000 -- $85,000 in total!
This tournament is organized by the group of researchers who conducted the iCOMPARE study and is funded by the National Institutes of Health. Residents, program directors, associate and assistant program directors, and core faculty from U.S. internal medicine programs are eligible to participate.
Individuals and teams who participate will qualify to win 35 prizes ranging from $1,000 - $10,000 each. Altogether, $85,000 in prizes will be distributed directly to participants for their personal use.
Participation is simple and takes only five minutes. To get started, create an account, enter the challenge code provided by your program director, and submit an idea in one of the following categories:
- Well-being and personal and professional development
- Education and clinical preparedness
- Sleep and/or alertness among residents
- Patient safety
You can submit as many ideas as you want. Because this is a democratic process by and for internal medicine residency programs, you will not only have the opportunity to submit ideas but also have the chance to rate ideas submitted by your colleagues after the submission period closes in December. You can participate as a submitter, as a rater or, preferably, both. There are prizes for submitting and for rating.
After the tournament concludes, the iCOMPARE team will synthesize findings for publication with the hope that many ideas can be picked up and implemented to make residency in internal medicine better.
