After careful review, 14 ideas have been identified as finalists. Students, staff and faculty members will pitch their ideas for the chance to secure funding and support for implementation on Thursday, April 25, from 4:30-6:00 pm in Bodek Lounge in Houston Hall. The Wellness at Penn initiative led by Chief Wellness Officer, Benoit Dube and the Office of the Provost, affirms wellness as a core priority and necessary driver of life on campus. A key aim of the initiative is to provide avenues of dialogue and collaboration for the wide range of partners advancing wellness on campus.
In support of this goal, we are partnering with the University Faculty Senate to launch a Your Big Idea challenge to crowdsource ideas to enhance wellness for faculty, staff, and students at the University of Pennsylvania.
We want you to think big. We’re looking for creative ideas for services, programs, amenities, and resources to strengthen Penn wellness. Proposals that cross departments and schools are strongly encouraged. Submissions from teams that include students, faculty and/or staff are also a plus.
Everyone who participates in the challenge will be entered into a lottery for three chances to win an Apple Watch. Semifinalists will receive support from staff at the Center for Health Care Innovation to develop a pitch for the challenge committee. Winning ideas will be funded and implemented at Penn and the school with the highest participation rate will win a prize.
We believe that together, we can create a campus-wide culture of wellness, strengthening ourselves as individuals and our community by opening ourselves up to our vulnerabilities and to what makes us human.
